The legendary Soviet vehicle, the 1961 Gaz 13B “Chaika” (Russian for “seagull”), is on sale by a private entity in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. Although the car is an almost-complete ripoff of the 1955 Packard Patrician, all the way down to the tailpipes, it was a mark of extraordinary prestige in the Soviet Union – only top party officials and other national luminaries could get access to one. Reportedly, this was Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev’s favorite parade vehicle.

Riding like Soviet royalty won’t come cheap – the car is currently listed at 450,000 Euro. One also wonders whether there is a Georgia auto transport company with the skill to move a car like this abroad.
